FORMER AMBASSADORS

mitchell hundred
The following are noteworthy elements of De Chima during the former era of Mitchell Hundred.

During his tenure was the ambassador for De Chima, Hundred focused on multiple initiatives to promote both import and native citizens prosperity.

One of the first initiatives he promoted was severe tax cuts for import businesses, as well as tax cuts of native businesses that did business with import companies, which allowed import companies to be desirable companies to support, finance, or even contact with. It allowed heavily taxes imports who started businesses to get the capital they needed as well as allowed them to receive the resources they needed. In De Chima's tech heavy atmosphere, this was a way for the city to promote and support import businesses as a whole.

Hundred also installed and supported a camera matrix in the city that automatically filters to a website that imports and natives alike can view. They are in particularly high-crime areas only, and the intent was for imports who wish to serve as superheroes to be able to locate trouble much quicker than simply patrolling.

That wasn't the only security-related action he took as ambassador, either. After one of Crane's attacks on a swearing-in ceremony in De Chima, he promoted a scanning system for all future De Chima swearing in ceremonies, which will identify not only weapons, but hazardous materials such as gasses and liquids. The RISE organization contracted with Hundred to maintain and enforce the program, and while imports are allowed to keep their weapons, they are automatically marked as owning them, to be able to link to any future issues, in case an import acts out.

Not solely focused on security, Hundred also established the De Chima import community center, where he also promoted imports to help each other. The community center serves as a gathering place and also offers multiple adult education classes for imports no matter their background. The establishment and maintenance of the building are supported by multiple grants and generous donations from multiple import businesses.

The following are noteworthy elements of De Chima during this former era of Lucy Pevensie.

-Lucy has been continuing to run her free clinic! It is a 10 bed clinic staffed by herself and two native citizen nurses, and they have free services for the imPort and native community, but give priorities to non-registered imPorts! It is funded through charitable donation and also staffed by a team of loyal volunteers!
-Lucy has a weekly meeting in public with the people of De Chima where she discusses the future of the city and what the city wants to see from her and the imPort community!
-ImPort businesses continue to grow, with arrivals like Sam Merlotte, who has opened his bar in the city!
-She runs a monthly Town Hall meeting, usually on the topic of imPort/native citizen communication and tries to facilitate conversations between the two communities
-She frequently offers local businesses her assistance if they show positive attitudes towards imPorts, and will go to local businesses and introduce herself to offer her services if they have any problems
-She tries to accumulate data on imPorts as to find out what their needs are! This includes running surveys and asking for their input.

De Chima has many imPort run businesses. Lucy has also made it a priority to make the parks safer by offering additional lighting at night, by increasing foot traffic. A large, centrally located park called Llep Park (pronounced yep, after a much beloved local parks department employee) has become a central hub for people to walk, have fun, play games, and generally get fresh air, and Lucy has tried to make the square around it more positive for locals by supporting local businesspeople to provide good like food and fun shopping. This is making the area popular with locals as a place to go to walk their dog or meet and have a coffee.

Lucy's current public platform is to make De Chima not just safe, but fun and young! She's definitely aiming to make it a positive place and to strengthen the bonds between the imPort and native community through programs and initiatives, and fun events like the Olympic Games!
